About Jackson Square

Jackson Square, on the edge of the French Quarter, is home to historical buildings and national treasures. The site where the Louisiana Purchase was signed, it is a short walk to the Mississippi and to the restaurants and shops of Bourbon Street. The Square is also known for the massive statue of Andrew Jackson commemorating the victory of the Battle of New Orleans. A must-see for any visitor.
